2. Instructions
   The Sheriff's Office is seeking donations for body armor for Sheriff's deputies.
   
   Protective vests cost about $500 and are issued to POST-Certified deputies in the Enforcement Division who request them. Deputies who are issued vests must wear them whenever they are on duty. When the vest is damaged or wears out, deputies must purchase new ones.
   
   The Sheriff's Office is inviting civic-minded businesses and individuals to make donations to the Sheriff's Office towards the purchase of these vests.
   
   Donations to governmental agencies are tax deductible under section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code if made for a public purpose. For information about how to do this, please complete the form below, and we will provide information about how you can submit your donation.
