One of the main goals for the men and women of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is to provide the highest quality of law enforcement services to enhance safety in our community and prevent crime. We accomplish this by engaging with the public, enforcing laws, and patrolling neighborhoods. It is an honor to serve the citizens of St. Charles Parish. With everyone’s help, we will continue to maintain St. Charles Parish as one of the safest places to live, work, and play in South Louisiana.
Sheriff Champagne recently stated in his 2024 Annual Sheriff's Update Report regarding the 28-year low crime rate, “although these numbers are great, we never just sit back. We constantly seek ways to further reduce crime in all areas.” One of the ways we can reduce crime is being aware of scams. Scams can come in many forms these days, such as phone scams, text message toll scams, jury duty scams, and even financial institute scams.
