Captain Pitchford is the commander of the Uniformed Patrol Division, Canine Division, Traffic Division, Marine Division, and the Reserve Deputies.
St. Charles Parish Service
Captain Pitchford graduated from the Louisiana P.O.S.T. Academy in April of 2001 and was then assigned to the Corrections Division. He transferred to the Patrol Division in 2003. In 2008, he was promoted to Detective in the Criminal Investigations Division. He was promoted to Sergeant of Criminal Investigations in 2015 and then Lieutenant in 2020.
Education and Training
Captain Pitchford graduated from Hahnville High School in 1996. He attended the University of New Orleans from 1997-2000, where he worked toward a degree in accounting . In 2001, he joined the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office and continued his education studying government at Nicholls State University. He completed the National Command and Staff College in 2022.
Personal Life
Captain Pitchford is a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish.
