9-1-1 Emergency Security Light
Attention St. Charles Parish Senior Citizens: Now you can help rescue workers find your home quickly and make your home safer year-round. St. Charles Parish's TRIAD program is offering the Crimewatch Flashing Security Light, a device that turns a normal light into a flashing signal for emergency personnel.
Simple to install and easy to operate, the Crimewatch Security Light serves as a signal for neighbors, scares away would-be prowlers, and is supported by police and rescue organizations. It was developed for neighborhood crime prevention to make all homes safer.
Three products in one, the device's darkness sensor automatically turns lights on at dusk for your convenience and security. After six hours, the automatic timer shuts the light off, creating a better lived-in look, not to mention saving energy and the life of the light bulb. The light also provides 45 minutes of emergency flashing, which alerts neighbors of an emergency and helps those responding find your home.
The all-new patented design of the Crimewatch Security Light provides great performance, even through lamp shades. There's no annoying flicker at dusk and, when activated, the light provides full brightness. The internal photo-eye eliminates the need for careful positioning, making this device a snap for anyone to install.
To activate the security light, simply turn the light off and then back on quickly. The device operates with any standard 60-watt bulb and on all types of lamps and switches.
