Citizens can donate towards body armor for Sheriff's Deputies
Body armor can save a deputy's life The Sheriff’s Office is seeking donations for body armor for sheriff’s deputies.
Protective Vests cost about $500 and are issued to POST-Certified deputies in the Enforcement Division who request them. Deputies who are issued vests must wear them whenever they are on duty. When the vest is damaged or wears out, deputies must purchase new ones.
The Sheriff’s Office is inviting civic-minded businesses and individuals to make donations to the Sheriff’s Office towards vests for officers. Tax-deductible donations can be made in any amount.
Donations to governmental agencies are tax-deductible under section 170(c)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code if made for a public purpose.
To donate or to have questions answered, please fill out this form and we will contact you with further details.
