Responsibilities


The Human Resources Department provides services to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office such as: 
  • Conducting investigative background checks of potential sworn and civilian candidates.  
  • Processing and investigating the medical histories and other information pertaining to sick or injured-on-duty (IOD) employees who apply for pensions.
  • Scheduling job interviews as well as each part of the hiring process and conducting exit interviews of employees.   
  • Employee Benefit and Pension administration.
  • Executes employee annual evaluation process.
Personnel Staff also obtains pertinent medical information from treating physicians and maintain the confidentiality of medical and personal records.
